Always Reliable Libraries

Another great experience with Edu Prado Sounds. I've bought several libraries from them over the past year, and this time I picked up the Ocarina. Just like with the Handpan and Bowed Guitar I got before, everything was smooth. The sound quality is consistently high, and I never have issues with the downloads or getting them set up in Kontakt. It's why I keep coming back for more unique sounds.

Good Sound, Easy Download

I grabbed the Siku Quena library last week. The download was quick and installing it into Kontakt was straightforward. Sounds really unique, I've already used it in a track. Definitely happy with the purchase.

Love the Experimental Sounds!

Just got the Experimental Sound Libraries bundle and it's fantastic! The sounds are so inspiring and really pushed my music in new directions. I've been messing with the Cinematic Textures and the Hybrid Instruments all weekend. It's absolutely packed with unique stuff I haven't heard anywhere else. Installation was a breeze and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. So much fun to play with!

Interesting Sounds, One Glitch

I finally bought the Found Percussion sample pack after hearing some demos. The sounds are really creative and have a lot of character, exactly what I was looking for to add some experimental textures to my compositions. The download process was mostly fine, though I did have a small hiccup where one of the files failed to download the first time around, but it worked on the second attempt. Customer service wasn't needed, so that's a plus. For the price, especially with the intro discount I got, it's good value, but that little download issue kept it from being perfect.

How's the return policy if I buy something and it just doesn't vibe with my setup? Is it a hassle to get a refund for digital products?

C Chris 2 months ago

It's a digital product, so refunds are usually pretty strict, especially once downloaded. You should probably check their specific policy, but don't expect an easy 'no questions asked' return like a physical item.

T Tom Beaumont 2 months ago

Pretty sure most digital goods are non-refundable once you've downloaded them. They might make an exception if there's a technical issue on their end that can't be fixed, but for 'didn't like it'? Probably not.

Just bought the Found Percussion pack, but where do I actually go to download it? Didn't see an obvious link in the confirmation email.

R Rosa 2 months ago

Log into your account on their site. There should be a 'My Downloads' or 'Order History' section where you can access everything you've purchased.

O Omar 2 months ago

After you complete the purchase, you get an email with a link, but also, it should be in your account dashboard under 'Downloads'. Always good to check both.

Are their samples truly royalty-free? Like can I use them in tracks I'm selling or putting on Spotify without worrying about licenses?

P Phil 1 month ago

Yep, totally royalty-free. That's standard for pretty much all these sample library companies. You buy it, you own the right to use it in your music.

J June Carter 1 month ago

I've used their stuff commercially many times, no issues at all. That's why you buy these libraries, so you don't have to clear anything.

I'm a student, are there any special discounts for us? Or is it just the regular sales?

A Amber Carter 2 months ago

I think they do offer an educational discount. You usually have to verify your student status through some service though.

S Sam 1 month ago

Yeah, they have one. Look for an educational discount link, usually in the footer or a dedicated FAQ. You'll probably need to upload student ID or something similar.

Hey, wondering about the Mandolin library. Do I need to own the full Kontakt player for it to work or can I use the free one?

M Mark S. 2 months ago

Yeah, for most of their stuff you need the full version of Kontakt. I think it mentions it on the product pages too.

J June G. 2 months ago

Almost all professional sample libraries require the full Kontakt. The free one usually just plays specific factory libraries. Best to assume full unless they explicitly say 'Kontakt Player compatible'.

Thinking of grabbing a few libraries. Any good deals for buying multiple at once? Like a bundle discount or something?

R Raj 2 months ago

They definitely do bundle discounts. Usually, if you add a few related ones to your cart, a deal pops up automatically. Saved a bunch on the percussion stuff that way.

P Phil 2 months ago

Yeah, check out their 'bundles' section directly. Sometimes they have pre-made ones that are cheaper than buying individually. Also, keep an eye out for sales, those stack sometimes.

Thinking about getting the Siku Quena, but how does it compare to some of the stuff from Spitfire Audio? Worth it or should I stick to the bigger names?

J June 1 month ago

Edu Prado has a really unique sound, often more 'characterful' than the big guys. Spitfire is great, but sometimes you want something a bit less polished and more raw. Siku Quena is probably more niche and unique than Spitfire's general offerings.

M Mike K. 1 month ago

It's different. Spitfire is often very cinematic and grand. Edu Prado is more about specific, authentic, and sometimes quirky instruments. If you want that exact Siku Quena sound, Edu Prado is probably your best bet because that's their specialty.

Anyone know if Edu Prado typically does a big Black Friday sale? Been eyeing the Handpan for a while.

J June 2 months ago

They almost always have Black Friday sales. It's one of their main discount periods.

N Nick K. 2 months ago

Oh yeah, definitely. Black Friday and around Christmas are usually their biggest sales. I'd hold off if you're not in a rush, you'll probably save 30-50%.
